Nika Island Resort  

Nika Island Resort is the only island in the Maldives where you will find private beaches in every villa, it's the ideal place for complete relaxation.

The word “Nika” means “shell” or “Banyan Tree” in Dhivehi. There is a banyan tree that grows in the middle of the island and provides canopied tranquil shelter to all inhabitants and tourists.

Accommodation: Only 37 villas all of which boast unique architecture on an island surrounded by a stunning house reef, luxurious vegetation and all enhanced by the friendly staff who will make you feel right at home:

10 Beach Villas - The Beach Villas (75mq) are set on the northern side of the island with easy access to the wonderful house reef;

10 Deluxe Beach Villas setteld on the southern side of the island with easy access to the wonderful house reef;

3 Family Beach Villas with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 open air shower), wide sitting room and private beach with Jacuzzi cottage;

3 Family Deluxe Beach Villas with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 open air shower), wide sitting room and private beach with Jacuzzi cottage;

1 Sultan Suite - 120 sq.m., Sultan Suite is ideal for families. It has two separate entrances, two double rooms, two bathrooms and a large living room with a sofa bed, with direct access to the private beach, equipped with Jacuzzi, swing, outdoor shower, sun beds and deckchairs.;

10 Water Villas - The Water Villas over the northern reef edge are 75 sq. metres in size. Each of them comprises 3 separate areas: bedroom, living room and bathroom. The uniqueness of these Water Villas is in their 3 split levels: the first and lowest just kisses the sea, the second one is a deck with wide terrace and deckchairs and the third is the one on the roof, perfect to get an all-over tan. The beach is never far away, with a stretch of white sand by the Villas jetty. For families there are 2 Family Water Villa.;

Restaurants & Bars

Nika Island is sold on full board basis. Italian, international and ethnic cuisine is served buffet-style at lunch and "à la carte" at dinner, with a selection of over 100 wines.

The Coffee Shop is located close to the main beach. Here you can enjoy music, ‘happy hours', wonderful sunsets, board games, library and satellite TV.

The Bepi Bar next to the restaurant is built with its roof representing the hull of a dhoni, the traditional Maldivian boat, and it's the perfect corner to chill out and enjoy the breeze of the ocean. Both bars have free wi-fi connection.

Jetty Bar - The jetty bar is located in the main jetty and is a wonderful platform for enjoying sunset view.

Diving Center & Snorkeling

Nika Island is surrounded by some of the most wonderful dive sites in Ari Atoll. Highly qualified European PADI instructors are on hand to share their professional expertise and arrange daily excursions to help you discover the fabulous Maldivian waters.

Lotus Nika Spa

Lotus Nika Spa is located in an artificial lagoon covered with coloured lotus and ninfea flowers. A range of treatments are offered in 8 floating cottages, named after well-known places in Venice. Our Indian, Balinese and European masseurs offer relaxing and refreshing massage and beauty treatments based on natural herbs and oils.

Activities

Sunset fishing by boat, water-ski, wake-board, catamaran, canoes, windsurf, fun-tubes, big game fishing (with dhoni or speed boat), snorkelling by boat, and excursions to the fishermen islands nearby can be arranged on request. Free of charge facilities: gym and volleyball.
